                                            The Importance of Promotion
         Why is promotion important for a business? Promotions are an effective way for you to market your business or products and services. There are lots of businesses and too many products. Customers need to know about a good product and be convinced to buy. That is the job of promotion. Promotion is the best advertising for businesses because customers immediately notice new products or services, products or services spread to broad market and products or services remain popular.
          Promotions raise awareness of consumers to new products or services. Promotions create new scope and communication opportunities. For example, discount vouchers: customers will use discount vouchers in your next purchase.  Free gifts: customers will buy another product, so customers will notice another product. In addition, Rexona give free mini deodorants, this is purpose of product’ promotion. Display stands: explain and demonstrate ways of products.  We can see display stands in some shopping centers. They can offer sausage to us. Thus, we can try its taste. Therefore, we will try the new product and accordingly we will choose our decision.
         Promotions expand the use of the products or services. In this way, products or services reach broad spectrum of consumers. For example, advertising on TV and radio: one of the easiest way to create new scope for your customers is to create news. Company can distribute books and brochures about the products or sevices.Competitions: They will be encouraging for buying products. Watsons organized a competition at Christmas. If you shared Watsons wishing card on Instagram, you would win new mascara. This competition was promotion. In this way, Watsons introduced new mascara. 
         Products or services are remained popular by means of promotions. The most important thing is loyalty card! Customers earn points for buying certain goods or shopping. They gain rewards and bonus packs. Businesses like airlines and hotels successfully use rewards programs to encourage customer loyalty. For example, Hilton Hotels own loyalty programs. Loyalty program’s name is Hilton HHonors. When you had Hilton’s loyalty card, Hilton Hotel gradated you. Respectively: blue, silver, gold, diamond.  If you often stay in Hilton Hotels,  you will have diamond status. Moreover, you can earn treats and discounts with these statuses. Another example, if you have a coffee shop, for instance, you will give the card on each sale. After customers make six or twelve purchases, they can use the card for a free cup of coffee. Furthermore, inviting to the company: When customers visited the company, company promote the new product by giving them.
         In his famous quote, Phineas Taylor Barnum says: “Without promotion something terrible happens… Nothing!” Companies should use promotions to remain active at all times. Company can develop with promotions, because customers notice new products or services, products or services spread to broad market and products or services remain popular. Finally, promotional activities will develop and maintain a brand, so companies should attach importance to promotions.
